assist you through Customs and Immigration and hand over your
documents. You will then be transferred by luxury vehicle to the Mount
Nelson Hotel where you will check in for the next 3 nights.
The Mount
Nelson Hotel is one of the most iconic luxury hotels in Cape Town,
located in the leafy suburb of Gardens, at the foot of Table Mountain,
just a short stroll via the squirrel-filled Government Lane to the heart
of the city. This elegant hotel offers pure sophistication in an
unmatched garden setting, known for its decadent high teas. Cocktails
are enjoyed at the Planet Champagne and Cocktail Bar, while the Cape
Colony Restaurant offers a mix of contemporary Southern European and
Western Cape trends and the Oasis Restaurant is the perfect venue for
relaxed alfresco dining. Stroll through the 9 acres of landscaped
gardens or simply relax at one of the 2 heated swimming pools. There are
also floodlit tennis courts, a golf practice net, a body care centre,
hairdresser and gymnasium.
Day 2 Cape Town (B)
This morning your
private guide will collect you from your hotel and take you on a brief
city tour orientating yourself with the city's highlights before heading
to the Cable way at Table Mountain for a spectacular view over the city
and ocean. You will then descend and head to the V&A Waterfront
where you will board your helicopter for a private tour of the City and
surrounding beaches and coastline (approx 20 minutes). You will get to
view such highlights as the beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton, the Twelve
Apostles mountain range and Table Mountain as well as the city. You
will be dropped off at the Twelve Apostles for lunch to be enjoyed at
the Azure Restaurant (included, but drinks for own account). After your
leisurely lunch you will have a chance to hike the 12 Apostles Mountains
behind the hotel on one of the trails which should take around 40
minutes, before heading back to your hotel with your driver/guide.

Day 4 Winelands (B)
Today you will check out
of the Mount Nelson and you will be collected by your specialist guide
for a full day Winelands Tour. Your guide will discuss your touring
options with you according to your interest, which could include any or
all of the following: Paarl with its mountain setting and Afrikaans
Language Monument; Franschhoek - founded by French Huguenots over 350
years ago, and widely regarded as the culinary capital of South Africa,
with a beautiful setting and café lined streets which will charm you,
and Stellenbosch - the second oldest town in South Africa, with canal
lined avenues, and magnificent examples of Cape Dutch architecture. Wine
tastings are included at premier estates and a stop will be made for
lunch in a memorable location (lunch is for your own account). At the
end of the tour you will be transferred to Delaire Lodge for your
overnight stay.

Wine Estate, on the highest crest of the magnificent Helshoogte Mountain
Pass, just 9 kilometres from Stellenbosch. This leading boutique hotel
and restaurant opened its doors in April 2010 and is set within Keith
Kirsten designed indigenous gardens, complete with life size brass
sculptures. Enjoy the services of your own personal butler and make use
of the complimentary private transport to Stellenbosch, which is
available at your request. Treat yourself to some pampering at the
full-service spa and round your day off with sunset bubbles and canapés
served in your lodge.
Day 5 Johannesburg (B)
Today you will check
out of Delaire and will be transferred by luxury vehicle to the airport
in time to check in for your flight to Johannesburg. On arrival you
will be met by your guide who will take you on an afternoon orientation
tour of Johannesburg and Soweto.
This tour is designed to give first
time visitors an overall impression of "Egoli" - the City of Gold, South
Africa's commercial and financial capital. You will first take a look
around the northern suburbs, then continue to the hustle and bustle of
Hillbrow and Braamfontein, home to the Constitutional Court of South
Africa. You will drive through the downtown area to the Carlton Centre,
for a view of the city from the enclosed deck on the 50th floor. You
will travel onward to Soweto (South Western Township) – the largest
black residential area in South Africa, where you will see a fascinating
contrast to Rosebank and Sandton in the north. This sprawling "city
within a city" is home to approximately 2-million people, many of whom
work in various parts of the greater metropolitan area of the
Witwatersrand. The tour includes all the major points of interest, such
as Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, Baragwanath taxi rank, Freedom
Square, Hector Pieterson Memorial and Nelson Mandela's former home. On
completion of the tour you will be transferred to the Westcliff Hotel
for your overnight stay.
The Westcliff is situated in the exclusive
and historic suburb by the same name and is located high on a hilltop,
overlooking the forested scenes beyond. This opulent hotel is designed
in a Mediterranean village style in a series of picturesque 'villas'
surrounded by tinkling fountains and cobbled pathways, in three acres of
landscaped gardens. Two restaurants specialize in international dishes
with a distinctly South African flair, high teas are enjoyed in the
Conservatory and the casual Polo Lounge and Terrace spill out onto the
elevated pool deck with panoramic views.
Day 6 Botswana (BD)
Today you will be
transferred to the airport in time for your flight to Maun in Botswana.
On arrival you will board a short charter flight into the Okavango Delta
where you will check in at Eagle Island Camp for the next 2 nights.
Eagle
Island Camp is situated on Xaxaba Island, in the heart of Botswana's
Okavango Delta. The camp is surrounded by Illala Palms and overlooks a
lagoon, which is fed by the tranquil waterways of the Delta. This
peaceful setting allows you to witness the most magnificent sunsets from
the raised deck, al fresco meals are also enjoyed here. This camp is
known for its unique Fish Eagle Bar, which is located away from the main
buildings, on its own private island.
Day 7 Botswana (BLD)
From
April to October, you are spoilt with a choice of game viewing in the
surrounding lagoons, by mokoro, motorized boats and on sundowner barges.
When the water levels are lower, from December to March, you can do
morning, afternoon and evening game drives on open 4x4 vehicles. Guided
safari walks are offered all year around on the surrounding islands. An
absolute treat is the complimentary 30 minute game viewing experience by
helicopter - nothing else will prepare you for the vast panoramas of
lush green vegetation, crystal clear lagoons and the grazing wildlife
beneath you, unperturbed as you hover above them.
Day 8 Botswana (BLD)
Today you will board a small aircraft for your short scenic flight to Khwai River Lodge, your base for the next 3 nights.
Khwai
River Lodge is situated adjacent to the renowned Moremi Game Reserve,
in the heart of the Okavango Delta in Botswana. This luxury lodge is set
on the banks of the Khwai River floodplains, peaking out from under an
ancient Leadwood and fig tree forest. The main lounge and bar has a
lower covered section and a totally open upper deck. Meals are served
under cover, or in the open, on the wide grassed area by the large and
inviting pool. There is a secluded spa offering treatments with natural
products and views to match.
Days 9 & 10 Botswana
BLDEarly morning game drives take you out and among a wild landscape
dotted with trees. Expect to see a huge range of creatures, from big
cats such as lions and leopards, to hippo, rhino, antelope, giraffe and
buffalo. Widely acknowledged to be the predator capital of the world,
this is the only place in Botswana where the Big Five can be seen.
Equally atmospheric and exciting are evening drives, as the shadows
lengthen and the sky turns red. Moonlight drives, star gazing, bird
watching, walking and even a visit to a local community will keep you
occupied when not indulging in a spa treatment or game viewing from the
comforts of your own deck.
Day 11 Livingstone (B)
Today
you board a small aircraft for your charter flight to Kasane where you
will be collected and transferred by road to Livingstone in Zambia. Your
home for the next 2 nights is the Royal Livingstone Hotel with its
unrivalled location at the edge of the Victoria Falls.
The Royal
Livingstone Hotel is located immediately upstream from the Falls on the
forested banks of the great Zambezi River. This hotel optimises the
regal stature of a bygone era, with the main section being a sequence of
double volume thatch roofed buildings housing large and elegant
lounges, bars and shaded verandahs of authentic Colonial furnishings.
The sparkling Victorian swimming pool visually links the river with the
terraces of the hotel, and there is a sweeping timber deck jutting into
the swirling water of the Zambezi.
Day 12 Livingstone (B)
There
are a large variety of activities on offer, from white water rafting,
sundowner cruises, visits to local villages and helicopter flips. For
