Kanana Camp is remotely situated in the very heart of the Okavango
Delta in Botswana. This luxury tented camp is built within the shade of
spectacular ebony, knob thorn acacia and sausage trees, with the raised
decking of the dining and sitting areas encircling an
ancient fig
tree.
The 8 luxury tented rooms are built on stilts to maximize the views of the floodplains. The large mesh windows of the meru style tents allow plenty of natural light into the rooms which comprise twin beds, basic furnishings and open canvas camping style wardrobes. The en-suite bathrooms are basins and showers behind canvas and reed partitions.
Enjoy game viewing in open vehicles, or on foot, or better still, by gliding silently through the Delta on a Mokoro. Be sure to see the very important nesting site where many migratory water birds come to have their young from July onwards and be the privileged few to see the roosting marabou, open bill stork and the rare Pel's fishing owl.
Homely meals include fresh vegetables and baked bread daily, and the well stocked bar is a social meeting place at sunset. Your stay at Kanana Camp includes all meals and local drinks as well as laundry facilities and daily game activities.
