
Sussi Lodge is situated on the banks of the majestic Zambezi River, within the Mosi–oa–Tunya National Park, just 15km from the town of Livingstone in Zambia. Named after David Livingstone's faithful friends, this luxury lodge features typically African rounded buildings with thatched roofs.
The 12 luxury rounded tree houses are set on raised wooden platforms, within the canopy of giant ebony trees which line the banks of the river. These rustic spaces are adorned with traditional African art and softened in a sophisticated style. Each tree house is air conditioned and has a mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities, bath robes and hair dryers. The twin or king beds are draped with mosquito nets, the en-suite bathrooms have double vanities and separate baths and showers and the sitting area unfolds onto the private viewing deck, overlooking the river.
Sunrise and sunset cruises or fishing on the Zambezi River, are just some of the popular excursions on offer, alternatively, disappear into the library or curio shop, enjoy a pampering spa treatment on the bank of the river, or sink into lounge chairs beside the huge circular rim flow pool.
The bar is on the upper level with the lounge below, totally open to the deck and the open air dining area where countless stories are shared around the camp fire. Full English breakfasts, homemade breads, pastries, braaied meat and fish are served with views of passing wildlife.
