Sandibe Safari Lodge is set on a 270 square kilometre private concession, adjacent to the game-rich Moremi Wildlife Reserve in Botswana. The lodge is camouflaged under a cluster of soaring trees, with a permanent channel of the magnificent Okavango Delta on its one side, and open grassy plains on the other. The central dining and sitting area is a huge double volume thatched structure with rough wooden beams, open sides and stylish furnishings. The shaded pool area is surrounded by a wooden deck and lazy hammocks slung between the trees.
The 8 exclusive safari cottages are scattered under the shade of the wild palms, right on the edge of the waterway. The king or twin-bedded cottages have overhead fans circulating air through the large gauze-covered windows, the en-suite bathrooms have open-air showers and the sitting areas open onto elevated private game-viewing decks, which are ideal settings for intimate candlelit dinners overlooking the river.
The lodge is surrounded by a vast range of wildlife and prolific birdlife, throughout the year and guests enjoy open vehicle game-drives and informative bush walks, river cruises and mokoro excursions in this intriguing wetland wilderness.
Alfresco banquets are served in the lantern lit boma and memorable bush picnics are arranged in surprising settings. There is a safari shop, a welcoming fireplace and an impressive charcoal cooled wine cellar. Your stay at Sandibe includes all meals, local drinks, laundry and daily game activities.
