Toka Leya Camp is situated in the western sector of the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park about 12km upstream from the mighty Victoria Falls. The lodge is so close to the Zambezi River, that the rapids actually flow beneath the deck with one side of the main camp shaded by jackalberry, knobthorn and waterberry trees, while the other side is more open with an ancient baobab tree being the focal point. The living spaces are roomy and relaxing, all with uninterrupted views of the River beyond the enticing infinity pool.
The 12 safari tents are incredibly spacious, they are canvas structures, set on large raised wooden decks and are decorated in a tasteful, uncluttered, African style. Each tented room is air-conditioned and has a large en-suite bathroom with luxury amenities. The family units are thoughtfully positioned to offer quiet seclusion, all the tents have expansive viewing decks overlooking the rushing river with its rapids and myriad of islands and they are connected to the main camp by wooden walkways.
Take a guided tour of the Victoria Falls on the Zambian side, do game drives within Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, river cruises, fishing excursions and tours of Livingstone town and the museum as well as cultural tours. The lodge also offers wireless Internet connectivity, a tastefully stocked curio shop and a health spa.
Meals are served indoors or on the sundeck and there is also a wood fired pizza oven for casual snacks.
