Undeniably famous as the safari capital of South Africa, with internationally renowned private game reserves in the game-rich land in and adjacent to the Kruger National Park, it is a reputation well deserved. There are few places that can compare with this region for sheer density of game - yet there is more to it than the safari experience. It is also here that the Blyde River Canyon, the third largest Canyon in the world is found, and this makes up part of a scenically spectacular route know as the Panorama Route.
