Southern Cross Beach House is located in the picturesque town of Plettenberg Bay on the Garden Route. This double story Colonial style home is situated in a prime position with direct access to Beacon Beach and it is also connected via a short boardwalk to the long and unspoiled Robberg Beach. The House is tastefully decorated in the colours of the surrounding sand, sea and sky and has a wide, sunny wrap around veranda, which introduces beams of natural light into the rooms and living areas. There are magnificent views of Plettenberg Bay and the Tsitsikamma Mountains from the breakfast patio, playful dolphins, whales and seals often complete this beautiful picture. Enjoy the close proximity to the vibrant cafés, restaurants and night spots of Plettenberg Bay, not to mention the many golf courses and nature reserves in the region. Alternatively, hours can be spent on the veranda, gazing out at the hypnotizing views.

ROOMS AND FACILITIES:

The 5 well-appointed rooms are stylishly decorated in warm tones with old world wardrobes and light fittings. One of the rooms has extra space and a sleeper coach in the lounge for families, all the rooms have en-suite bathrooms and open onto the veranda or the manicured garden courtyard

FOOD AND BEVERAGE OUTLETS:
  • A cold buffet is laid up along a pine counter in the lounge/diner. Ours included fruit salad, dried fruits, a choice of cereals, cold meats and cheeses, scrummy locally-made yoghurt and freshly baked bread, followed by a hearty cooked breakfast. Breakfast entertainment was provided overhead by wheeling gulls, undertable by the two resident poodles.
  • Kitchenette - The lounge/diner also has a kitchenette for guest use so you can whip up a snack if necessary, as well as an honesty bar.
