The Thorntree Country House is a family-run guesthouse, situated in the Klein Karoo just outside the town of Oudtshoorn on route to the Cango Caves and the picturesque Swartberg Pass. Dating back to the 1800's, the homestead and outbuildings are constructed in typical Klein Karoo architectural style, now gracefully restored into a warm and welcoming Country House with modern conveniences, while the main lounge and dining area still feature the original poplar wood and bamboo ceilings. The signature of this country house is the genuine Klein Karoo hospitality and cuisine as well the rolling tranquil garden with two swimming pools and all-encompassing views of the Schoemanshoek Valley.
