Curtain Bluff has been under the ownership of the same family for over 40 years. Consistency of approach is clearly evident in the typically Caribbean atmosphere and is the key to the resorts enduring popularity. Located on a natural headland or 'bluff' in the southern part of Antigua, the property is bordered by two contrasting beaches, each with its own unique character. The rooms and suites building enjoy a setting amongst 20 acres of tropical gardens. Curtain Bluff enjoys a solid reputation for exceptional service, first-class dining and one of the finest wine cellars in the Caribbean. Due to its position and the relationship enjoyed with the local village of Old Road, keys are not required for Curtain Bluff guests.

Important note: The Resort will be closed from 31 July 2010 until 31 October 2010 due to annual maintenance.

ROOMS AND FACILITIES:

Accommodation is split between locations on the beach and on the bluff itself. All accommodation features air conditioning, ceiling fans, louvred windows, a mini-bar stocked to clients requirements and private balcony or terrace with ocean views. All deluxe rooms and 12 of the bluff suites have new spa-bathrooms.

Beach Accommodation includes:

  • Deluxe Rooms - direct beach access, some interconnecting.
  • Junior Suites - larger than Deluxe Rooms and located on the first and second floors.
  • Grace and Morris Bay Suites - large one and two-bedroom suites with double jacuzzi and expansive furnished outdoor terrace. Can be connected to adjoining Junior Suites.

Bluff Accommodation includes:

  • Executive Deluxe Rooms - with french doors opening onto the terrace. Can be connected to Executive Suites to form two-bedroom Suite.
  • Executive Suites - one bedroom suites with private patio and upstairs dining facility.

Bluff accommodation is accesible by gentle steps ranging from 26 to 96 dependent on the accommodation type.

GUEST FACILITIES INCLUDE:
  • NEW STYLE KIDS CLUB – opening October 2010; complimentary to children between the ages of 4 and 10 years old, activities will include Arts and Crafts, local culture, tennis and nature course’s and the delights of learning about life at sea and the local flora and fauna. A nanny service is available at an extra cost.

  • The new Spa at Curtain Bluff  - offering 5,000 square feet of absolute pure indulgence on the waters edge at the end of the bluff. A spacious facility has open walkways, calming water features, 5 treatment rooms (including one for couples), an open air relaxation room with ocean views, a large infinity-edge hot tub and Pevonia Botanica trained therapists.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE OUTLETS:

Breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon tea, hors d'oeuvres, bar drinks are part of the rate. The cuisine is continental with a local blend of Caribbean flavours with a different dinner menu each evening. Fine bottled wines are available at a charge locally.

Approximate opening hours as follows:

  • Beach bar: 10.00am til sunset (approximately 6.00pm)
  • Main hotel bar: 10.00am-11.30pm
  • Beach Restaurant: 12noon-2.00pm for lunch
  • Main restaurant: 7.30am-10.00am for breakfast 7.00pm-9.30pm for dinner
