A group of over 40 islands lying to the immediate southeast of Miami just below the Bahamas tof which they are geographically linked. Only 10 of the islands, or Cays, are inhabited! Grand Turk and Salt Cay make up the Turks with the island of Providenciales (or Provo for short) being the main attraction within the Caicos group. The Turks and Caicos constitute one of the World's major concentration of coral reef with a rich population of associated marine life. The islands are relatively untouched by development and offer a relaxing and more laid-back alternative to the nearby Bahamas.
