Soneva Fushi was conceived, over a decade ago, as the first 'Robinson Crusoe' resort in the Maldives. Situated on the white-beach rimmed island of Kunfunadhoo, one of the largest islands in the country at 100-acres, the resort lies north-east from Malé. Soneva Fushi is and always has been about co-existence with its surroundings. The luxuries and pleasures of the modern-day holiday resort are never far away, but neither is the peace and tranquility that pervades the natural, untouched and unspoiled habitat in which it resides. Even check-in takes place at Malé airport rather than on resort and your shoes 'confiscated' on arrival.

Please Note - The Maldivian Government announced that the current GST will be revised to 6% as of 01 January 2012. This would be revised to 10% as of 01 January 2013 and will be applied accordingly to all new bookings involving stays from 01 January 2012 onwards. The new GST will apply to all room rates, food and beverage, spa, transfer, diving, water sports, excursions and any other services provided by a resort or ocean-going vessel operating within Maldivian Waters. GST will be not be charged on service charge or bed tax.

Accommodation is scattered along the beach amongst the vegetation. All come equipped with overhead fan, air-conditioning, mini-bar, safe, and standard 5-star facilities including bicycles. Crusoe One- and Two-Bedroom Suites are duplex, some with pools.
