One of the closest resorts to the capital, Malé.  The resort occupies a thin strip of land, known locally as Emudu Finolhu, which in turn is surrounded by one of the largest lagoons in the Maldives. Always stylish and sophisticated, Taj Exotica Resort and Spa has recently undergone an extensive renovation and re-design programme, further enhancing its position as one of the most exclusive resorts in the Maldives. The majority of the accommodation is positioned, on stilts, over the clear waters of the impressive lagoon.

 

Please Note - The Maldivian Government announced that the current GST will be revised to 6% as of 01 January 2012. This would be revised to 10% as of 01 January 2013 and will be applied accordingly to all new bookings involving stays from 01 January 2012 onwards. The new GST will  apply to all room rates, food and beverage, spa, transfer, diving, water sports, excursions and any other services provided by a resort or ocean-going vessel operating within Maldivian Waters. GST will be not be charged on service charge or bed tax.

ROOMS AND FACILITIES:

All the villas are palm-thatched, finished with natural wood exteriors and floors and appointed in classic Maldivian style. Amenities include air-conditioning, personal bar, LCD TV, DVD/CD player, internet connection, bathrooms with rain showers.

  • Lagoon Villas - located in pairs over the lagoon and feature private sun deck with ladder access to the lagoon.
  • Stand-alone Deluxe Lagoon Villas - located at the far end of the island. The spacious private deck looks out over the lagoon. Ten villas feature a plunge pool.
  • Deluxe Beach Villas - located overlooking the lagoon and feature spacious veranda, an oversized plunge pool and private walled garden with outdoor shower.
  • Beach Villa Suites - extremely spacious with mezzanine and master bedrooms, one with balcony and a spa treatment room.
  • The Rehendi Presidential Suite - built over-water, featuring a living room, master bedroom with twin bathrooms, guest bedroom, private balcony, 15 foot private pool, two salas, one for dining and a suspended sand-filled deck.
