A new resort from Banyan Tree, their second in the Maldives after Vabbinfaru. The coral island upon which the new resort is located, Madivaru, lies in Ari atoll, south-west of Malé. It features a pristine, white sandy beach and a beautiful lagoon surrounded by its own house reef. Guests may also choose to transfer to the resort by sea on board the 30-metre Banyan Vella yacht, with the journey taking between 3 to 4 hours. The resort itself consists of a cluster of freestanding tented villas, the first of their kind in the Maldives. With the launch of this new property, Banyan Tree are confident of setting new standards for luxury accommodation in the Maldives.

ROOMS AND FACILITIES:

All of the tented villas are inspired by desert island decor and come with timber flooring, two outdoor showers, handcrafted wood furniture and luxurious tent canopies all with private pool. Each villa comprises three separate tents, equipped to function as living, sleeping and bath areas. The spacious bath tent also includes two spa beds for in-villa signature Banyan Tree Spa treatments. Meals and scheduled excursions are all-inclusive, and guests are assured the pick of the days catches as well as exhilarating marine activities. A dedicated Island Host is also on hand for personalised valet and in-villa spa services.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE OUTLETS:

Boa Keyo - the resorts main restaurant and bar, named after the indigenous tree that covers part of the island. The finest Maldivian and international cuisine is offered along with a selection of drinks, cocktails and fine wines.
Dining of a very different style is also available on the Madi, a traditional 2-masted yacht on which guests may dine whilst exploring the nearby islands.
Guests may also dine in private on a deserted Sandbank, accompanied only by a private chef and an Island Host.
