Located about 75 miles north of Malé, Denis Island is a privately owned crescent-shaped coral island, about 375 acres in area. Denis Island Lodge has operated as a back-to-nature, castaway island retreat since 1978. It has recently undergone a complete refurbishment and modernisation with many new facilities having been added to further enhance the visitor experience. Accommodation is spread along the beach front backed by the islands lush interior, populated by dense palms, takamaka and casuarina trees and criss-crossed by numerous trails and pathways. The waters around Denis Island are well known for their prized game fish and underwater life. Fishing expeditions from the island are a popular local option.

ROOMS AND FACILITIES:

The Deluxe Cottages and Villas all come with ceiling fans and air-conditioning, private bathroom, featuring separate bath and twin-jet shower fronting a private courtyard with an open-air shower. Bedrooms come with double beds and mosquito nets. Cottages also feature a lounge area with fridge and sea-facing verandas. The spacious Boise d'Argent villa is perfect for honeymooners and the Prince Noir villa comes with two bedrooms, ideal for families. Both feature sitting areas and private beachfront gardens.
