
An Andalusian-style residence, carefully and sympathetically restored, which was once of the home of the former infamous and allegedly brutal Pasha of Marrakesh. The riyad is centred around the main courtyard which leads to a beautifully maintained garden with a thirteen metre pool capped by a Carrara marble fountain. The gardens feature ancient bougainvillea and cypress trees which dominate the surroundings. A cloister surrounds the area with a relaxing guest loggia at the end featuring hi-fi and an art deco Pleyel grand piano. The peaceful surroundings belie the properties location in the centre of the busy Medina.
Riyad al Moussika feature 6 individually decortaed double rooms, made up of two suites, two rooms and one room avialble for single occupancy. Luxurious appointments include Egyptian cotton sheets, white goose duvets and pillows and English lambswool blankets. All rooms are ensuite and come with air-conditioning, satellite TV and telephone.
Riyad al Moussika offers a choice of dining options. There are two ding rooms, the first is centred around a more formal12-seater cedar parade table, the second with a more casual approach featuring carpets, sofas, cushions, small tables and chairs. Food is prepared to order by the resident Cordon Bleu chef. Moroccan, French and Italian cuisine are all on offer along with pattisseries at tea time. Rates include both breakfast and lunch along with all non-alcoholic drinks.
