Riad Dar Zaouia means ‘a place of retreat’ in Arabic. It has been created for those seeking intimate, romantic surroundings in a quiet place of refined, relaxed elegance. Within its discreet entrance along a cobbled lane that hasn’t changed in centuries, you enter the red brick archway, lit by gleaming Moroccan lanterns. Step into a welcoming garden courtyard flanked by white columns and a soaring atrium, with pink bougainvillea blossoms tumbling in bright profusion from the balcony above. The soothing sound of water flowing from the traditional stone fountain provides a calm contrast to the bustle of the Medina. On the courtyard level guests can enjoy dining in the pretty gallery, where breakfast is served each morning featuring freshly baked breads and pastries, fruits from the local market, and Moroccan delights such a dates and honey. Relax with a coffee in the library, with its beautiful Berber textiles, antiques and cosy fireplace. After a busy day sightseeing, unwind with a signature Angsana massage in the treatment suite, a light and airy sanctuary offering total privacy and relaxation. The Riad has six deluxe bedrooms and one special suite. Each bedroom is unique and features authentic Moroccan antiques and textiles. Each room features colourful tadelakt plasterwork, a Moroccan speciality. Each layer is hand-applied in jewel colours that give a warm glow. The beds are luxuriously appointed with fine linens and sumptuous soft pillows. The spacious bathrooms have handmade zellij tiles, marble and stone and come with an array of Angsana Spa products. Breakfast for all Riads - Start the day right with the traditional breakfasts, which you can choose to have in all public areas (the patio, Living Room, Roof top) and also in the guest rooms. Everyday, they offer different specialties such as pastries and Moroccan bread, Menu features healthy selections (low calories, low fat) plus a vegetarian selection and a child-friendly selection.
All Day Dining in all Riads - The All Day Dining menu is available to ease your hunger pangs from 1100 AM – to 1000 PM. Also serving as the Room Service Menu, the All Day Dining menu features a superb selection of light Moroccan and Asian food. As with the breakfast menu, guests can enjoy their food in all of the Riad’s public areas. The drink list has a large selection of different alcoholics and non alcoholics beverages. Wine lovers will also enjoy a unique selection of Moroccan wines from Atlas and Meknes area, but also French wines, as well as champagne.
Dinner in all Riads - Restaurant Si Said feature a traditional Moroccan cuisine and restaurant Bab Firdaus offer an authentic Thai menu. All day and in room dining menu is also available in all Riads with a refreshing selection of salads, sandwichs and international specialties. Every Saturday evening, in Riad Si Said, do not miss the traditional cocktail followed by famous Arabian Night soiree where you can enjoy a sumptuous Moroccan buffet with talentuous musicians, snake charmers and beautiful belly dancers.
